I think the dramatic yellow is a reflection of her soul. It’s telling her to eat something cheesy, since she does love food. The bright blue of her pants emphasizes her sadness that she doesn’t have an EVEN COMFIER chair to relax in. She’s looking down and away from the viewer as a way to hide her feelings, but the sadness and yellowness of the picture are key to the viewer in understanding her mood.
